The Joint is Jumpin' - Thomas "Fats" Waller [1929]

As strange warm autumn afternoon, was driving home and on the radio I hear a melody that recalled my childhood watching cartoons, these jazz clubs under the floors of the house Tom Cat, remember them? Well, I found Fast Waller a pianist and singer than the 20's when jazz was as the birthplace of Harlem neighborhoods.

African American male Perhaps this is one of the greatest unknown jazz faithful disciple and representative
call school l "Harlem stride piano" .

Perhaps more than any of you can remember this melodious voice in the films of the 30's.

This musician and composer, dies at age 39 and had made written and recorded over five hundred compositions. Introduced the organ in jazz, and as a pianist, he managed to reconcile opposing forces: in his touch, muscular and virile, rhythm relentless and well-defined phrases also no place for tenderness, sentiment, grace and finesse.

The Joint is Jumpin '
connoisseurs say it is one of the plates are not to be unforgivable.

I invite you to close your eyes and fly through time and maybe some memories are linked to this great jazz pianist.

Building A Boat Floor

doors. Hyperspace

Consider the difference between sending a disc space with music by Bach, and send one with music by Cage. Now consider the significance of a Cage piece, for us, that meaning is clear from the location of the music for this author within a broad cultural context, and then see it as an uprising against certain kinds of traditions. Then, if we wish to convey this meaning, we have to send into space not only the notes of the piece, but precede them by a detailed history of Western culture. It is reasonable to argue, then, a disc with music by John Cage, by itself, has no intrinsic meaning.

Yet, a listener enough versed in Western and Eastern cultures, particularly of the currents produced during the last decades in Western music, would draw meaning from that album, but this listener is equivalent to a jukebox, and the recorded piece a couple of buttons, the meaning is already contained within the listener, from the beginning, the music is nothing more a trigger of significance. And this "jukebox", unlike pure intelligence, is by no means universal, is attached either directly to the Earthling, depends on peculiar series of events in our planet over long periods. Wait for the music of John Cage is understood by another civilization, is like expecting our favorite song is included on a jukebox of the moon, and that we can hear by pressing the same buttons as if we were in a bar in Buenos Aires.

However, to appreciate Bach requires less cultural documentation. This can sound very paradoxical existence in such a complex and systematic Bach, and so few intellectuals in Cage. But here a curious reversal records. Loves intelligence models, and rebels against the randomness. For most people, the randomness of Cage's music requires much explanation, and even after having received them, they suspect they have not gotten the message. As compared to nearly all Bach's words are superfluous. From this point of view, the music of Bach is more self-contained than Cage. Still, we do not know to what extent the human condition is manifested by Bach.

To illustrate, let's remember that music has three main structural dimensions (melody, harmony, rhythm), each of which, in turn, can again divided into different levels and covering all aspects. In each of these dimensions there is a degree of complexity that our intellect is capable of handling without hesitation, of course, a composer takes them into consideration, rather unconsciously, when developing a piece. These "medium complexity levels" that cut across different dimensions are highly dependent, is most likely, the conditions of our evolution as a species, other intelligent species may have developed their music giving it totally different levels of complexity to manipulate, present along these many dimensions. Thus, it is conceivable that Bach has to be accompanied by a wealth of information about the human species, information that, quite simply, could not be inferred from musical structure alone.

My Bloody Valentine - 1991 - Loveless

Holas

everyone, today I will speak of a group come from the island of rock, or rather Britain, called My Bloody Valentine ...

The year was 1991 , late September , the world was shocked with the release of an album called "Nevermind 'second album, a band named Nirvana ', all surrendered to the grunge ... This American movement born in Seattle .

But Rock Island could not be left behind, and in November , the same year, 1991 a band born in Ireland also premiered their second album called ' Loveless', for its part also creating a new musical movement: Shoegazer .
The name comes from Anglo-Saxon words Shoe 'shoe ' Gazing: 'Staring something ', and left for playing their instruments at the floor. Musically
this movement is characterized by distorted guitars, walls of guitars with flangers and various effects, creating different environments, with almost whispered voices ... Clear as not to recognize this, if one of his biggest influences are Cocteau Twins and Jesus & Mary Chains .

After them came many groups, this movement remains as valid today, influencing many groups today.

What movement was more important?
Now it is up to PC.
for me was the movement created by My Bloody Valentine, Loveless therefore this record is much more important to me that Nevermind. I hope their views

greetings and enjoy

Cage

But as the door opened again, and the spell of the drug and the dream pushed me through it, I knew that all the glories and visions had ended, because in this new kingdom had neither land nor sea, but only the empty white space and unlimited wilderness. Thus happiest he had ever dared to expect, I dissolved again in the original infinity of crystal oblivion the daemon Life had taken me an hour brief and desolate.

In geometry a tesseract or hypercube is a figure formed by two three-dimensional cubes in a fourth axis displaced dimensional ( call the first length, second and third level deep). In a four-dimensional space, the tesseract is a four-dimensional cube space. It consists of 8 cubic cells, 24 square faces, 32 edges and 16 vertices.

This term was first coined in 1888 by English mathematician Charles Howard Hinton in a play called A New Era of Thought, a kind of manual that sought to train the intuition hyperspace through visualization exercises with colored blocks around an imaginary hypercube.

A hypercube is a cube defined as obsolete in time, that is, each moment of time which moved but all of them together. Of course we can not see a hypercube in the fourth dimension, because only the points that would touch our universe, so all we would see a stock cube.

a hypercube can not see because we are "locked" in three dimensions, so that we can only see the projection of what would a hypercube. It looks like two cubes nested, with all vertices connected by lines. But in the real four-dimensional tesseract all lines have the same length and all angles would be right angles.

Coltrane - Jazz

This saxophonist (tenor and soprano) and composer born in New York in 1926 is one of the most important musicians of jazz history, was handled during his career in the major jazz styles hard bop, free jazz and modal jazz.
The disk I present below is not the first nor the most important of his extensive discography, some 50 albums as a soloist and as many as a sideman for other artists such as trumpeter Miles Davis
and Thelonious Monk. Coltrane jazz was recorded in 1961. As a curiosity I can tell that this was the first album released on Atlantic Records. Coltrane on the plate backed by musicians such as Wynton Kelly , Paul Chambers and Jimmy Cobb sextet accompanying a Miles Davis .

This is the first of my postings on "The itchy Glowbo where I'll blow up little by little my musical tastes to share with you.

start with something softly, perhaps branded business due to recent events in the life of this French singer. Carla Bruni, who from childhood knew that music was his destiny, beginning with the guitar as a hobby and now in 2002 could release her debut album Quelqu'un m'a dit (Somebody told me) produced by Louis Bertignac and praised by critics. The album sold over 2 million copies, all items it contains are written in French and for her, except the Noyee composed Serge Gainsbourg and joins Le ciel dans chambre, who wrote in Italian Gino Paoli on your album sung in Italian with French translation she made herself.

Belle And Sebastian - 2000 - Fold Your Hands Child, You Walk Like A Peasant

Fold Your Hands Child, You Walk Like A Peasant is the fourth album from Scottish band Belle & Sebastian , this album had a lot of criticism as compared with many previous albums, but they were wrong because each new album Belle & Sebastian, is an innovation in sound, there is always something new and old at once.
This album marks the departure of the band Isobel Campbell, to pursue a solo career.

The album is a pop anthems battery beginning with the grand I Fought in a War , and immediately followed by The Model .
