Decoherence Bach vs

Beyond particles, fields force,
of geometry, space and time,
there is one last element of this,
an act even more subtle:
the participating observer.

Wheeler / Zurek

was the quantum physicist John Wheeler who said that "observers are needed to give life to the world we live in a" participatory universe. "

The quantum world describes objects that are simultaneously in several places at once. To describe these objects, physics uses quantum superposition of states: it is a way of saying that elementary particles exist in several overlapping states at the same time.

The question arises in explaining the process that reduces these states superimposed on the actual state that our senses in the universe daily. It is evident that in the universe macrophysical objects presented to us in a particular state and not overlapping.

To WH Zurek and Dieter Zeh, among others, the so-called decoherence models can explain the lack of overlap in the macroscopic states of matter, without decisive intervention of the observer.

For each observation we must speak of three subsystems involved: the object (an atom, a table, a cat), the measuring apparatus (which locates the object) and environment (or stage) where the process unfolds.

The interaction of macroscopic systems with their environment is what dilutes the superposition of quantum states as models of decoherence. That is, if a small system like an atom, can be isolated from its environment to be studied in the macroscopic world that isolation is not possible because a cat (to follow the example of Schrödinger's experiment ) is too attached to his universe through some intense friction mechanisms, preventing observe without their immediate environment.

These interactions cat with immediate universe are nullifying the superposition states of quantum spaces and leave out the role of observer described Wheeler as a creator of reality.
